A prominent municipality in Singapore faced challenges

with dust management on city roads. Traditional water

spraying methods were proving inefficient due to limited

coverage and high water consumption. To address these

issues, the municipality decided to implement an advanced

fog cannon machine for effective dust suppression.

The Principle of the Fog Cannon Machine:

The fog cannon machine operates on the principle of air

delivery, utilizing a sophisticated micron-level spray unit.

This unit, under varying pressure and flow control of water

and air, produces micron-level water mist. The mist particles

are designed to be mutually exclusive and independent,

enhancing their ability to combine with dust particles.

How It Works:

1.Atomization:The machine employs an imported high-

pressure pump and fine atomizing nozzle to transform

water into fine mist particles.

2.Air Delivery:The atomized water mist is then propelled to

greater distances using the fan's air volume and pressure.

3.Dust Suppression:As the water mist travels, it covers a

larger area. The mist particles and dust collide and condense,

causing them to fall to the ground, thereby reducing dust

levels.

In many open-air stockyards and operation sites, traditional

dust management methods such as water spraying were

found to be inefficient. These methods had a small coverage

area and consumed large amounts of water, resulting in

unsatisfactory dust suppression.

Implementation and Results:

The municipality integrated the fog cannon machine into

their city road sprinkling operations. The machine's ability

to produce micron-level water mist significantly improved

dust suppression. The enhanced coverage area and efficient

water usage made the fog cannon machine a superior

alternative to traditional methods.

Improved Dust Control:The fog cannon machine effectively

reduced dust levels on city roads, improving air quality.

Water Efficiency:The system used less water compared to

traditional spraying methods, leading to cost savings and

environmental benefits.

Broader Coverage:The fog cannon machine's advanced

technology allowed for a larger area to be treated, ensuring

comprehensive dust management.

The successful implementation of the fog cannon machine

in Singapore demonstrates its effectiveness in managing

dust on city roads. By adopting this advanced technology,

the municipality achieved better dust suppression, water

efficiency, and broader coverage, setting a benchmark for

other cities facing similar challenges.
