The Environmental Quality Act 1974 (EQA) of Malaysia has instituted a rigorous pollution control framework. Notably, the Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations 1978 under this act impose explicit caps on industrial dust emissions. Enterprises operating in sectors such as manufacturing and construction in Labuan face severe penalties should they surpass these established limits. In this regulatory landscape, dust suppression systems have emerged as a pivotal solution, enabling businesses not only to comply with EQA standards but also to secure ISO 14001 certification, a globally recognized hallmark of environmental management excellence.
At a KL building materials park in Labuan, a door and window factory once faced rectification due to excessive cutting dust. After introducing storm-resistant dust suppression systems, the equipment covered the entire workshop with a spray range of 100 meters, reducing PM2.5 concentrations by 92%. This not only helped the factory meet the EQA's emission limits but also improved its environmental management system, enabling it to successfully obtain ISO 14001 certification.

This equipment is adapted to Labuan's tropical climate, constructed from corrosion-resistant materials, and designed for stable operation in high-humidity conditions. Its intelligent control feature can interface with dust monitoring devices to dynamically adjust the spray intensity as required, guaranteeing dust reduction efficiency while minimizing water consumption. Currently, across Labuan's port logistics zones and construction sites, dust suppression systems have emerged as the go-to solution for enterprises aiming to strike a balance between production and environmental protection.
